Thursday: Corpus Christi.  Friday: St Boniface of Crediton.  Saturday: St Garlath of Tuam

The Vicar is on holiday until 9 June and so, if you need a priest while she is away, please contact one of the Churchwardens.

Today, on this fifth Sunday of the month, we thank and welcome the Revd Melanie Crowley from St Faith's to the 8.00 BCP Holy Communion at St Ippolyts and the Revd Canon John Payne Cook to the 9.30 CW Eucharist at Little Wymondley

Friday     Friday 5 June             The pupils of Years 5 & 6 at St Ippolyts School set off for their Annual School Journey - this year to the outdoor adventure centre at Barton Hall, Devon.  We wish them a happy and exciting time.

Tuesday 9 June            The Deanery Synod meets at St Mary's, Pirton, 7.30pm

Wednesday 10 June    St Ippolyts   2.30pm   Funeral of Christine Fagg RIP

Sunday 14 June           St Ippolyts & Gosmore Open Gardens    Noon-6pm. More than 12 gardens to visit.  Admission £5 (children under 16 free) - tickets will be on sale on the day from the Parish Hall, Gosmore Green and the car park off Maydencroft Lane.  All proceeds to St Ippolyts Church.  If you can help in any way on the day (with the parking, baking cakes, selling of refreshments, programmes, raffle tickets or whatever) there are sign-up sheets at the back of St Ippolyts Church.  Do join in.

Satu    Thursrday 20 June         St Albans Pilgrimage   11.00: Procession sets off from St Peter's. 12.00: Eucharist in the Abbey - preacher the Archbishop of Canterbury. 4.00pm: Festal Evensong - preacher the     Archbishop of Rouen. See Page 8 of PAX, also www.stalbanscathedral.org/whatson/the-alban-pilgrimage.

4-18 July       St Albans International Organ Festival.   Also the St Albans Bach Choir and the combined choirs of Westminster Cathedral, Christ Church Oxford and St Albans Cathedral. See the full programme on www.organfestival.com

Sunday 10th  May Services

9.30am Holy Communion at St Ippolyts

9.30am Special service for Rogation day in St Mary’s church Great Wymondley.

The visiting speaker will be a spokesperson for the charity ‘Farm Africa’ and we will be joined at 10am by the Letchworth Morris men and then we shall process around the village asking for God’s blessing on the crops in the fields and the gardens.

6.30pm Evensong at St Ippolyts

No service at Little Wymondley on Sunday 10th May

Christian Aid Quiz Night at Christchurch on Saturday 9 May at 7.30pm. Fish/sausage and chip supper or vegetarian option. Tickets £10, no food £4. Teams of 6-8 encouraged.
